04.29.10 - Owl Cupcakes
I found the cutest little recipe/design idea for owl cupcakes! Baking is becoming my new obsession, so I guess that sewing machine desire is being pushed to the side FOR NOW. However, if anyone has one that they would give or sell to me for cheapish, please let me know! Now, on to my baking extravaganza from last night..
I made cupcakes as usual and made them into owls with candy! Seriously, so easy and SO adorable. I decided to use white frosting for a few reasons. One, I like vanilla better than chocolate. Two, WalMart was out of chocolate spray icing. And three, Hedwig is a snowy owl. As you can see, I really had no choice but to make my owls white ones. Here are a couple pictures. These are my favorite creations thus far :)
My next task will be cake balls but with a twist. Stay tuned!

OK Allie, this is Kadie's Mom and I need more details on the cute owl cupcakes. A lady that I work with cooks cupcakes every Wednesday night for the kids at her church dinner, and is always looking for new ideas. Can you tell us what the middle of the eye is and what did you use for the nose thingy? They are so cute. By the way, I love the dress. I love to sew, just don't have much time or room to drag it all out anymore. Thanks
